We offer a variety of adult classes which can be taken individually or together with the option to pursue an internationally recognised diploma in performance from Trinity College London, or teaching from the London College of Music at the University of West London. 

Online Spring 2022
10 Week Adult Foundation Course 
This course has been designed to give all students a foundation in voice, acting, and performance skills. This course is open to all levels. After these 10 weeks you will have built up a base in performance skills and if you would like, you can go on to one of our diploma courses in either: Speech and Drama (poetry, prose, acting, theatre), Performing Arts (any performance elements – acting, film, musical theatre, movement, costume etc.), Musical Theatre (singing, dancing, acting), or Public Speaking. These courses can be completed over the summer or from September-December. 
We strongly recommend that all students complete Voice, Acting & Physicality and at least one of either Musical Theatre or Film-Making. 
Voice – 6:30-8:30pm – This class will give you the basics in having a clear, confident voice and provide the skills for creating dynamic character voices. We will cover projection, modulation, tone, accents and voice-over acting. Each week we will also work on a vocal performance of a range of materials – poetry, prose, drama, as well as public speaking. €45 per week. 
Musical Theatre – 8:30-9:30pm – This class will provide basic training in singing and dancing for musicals. Each week you will work on a routine from a popular musical to build up these skills and also work on exercises for singing.  €20 per week. 
Acting & Physicality – 6:30-8:30pm – While the voice class will cover the voice of the characters you will perform, this class covers the other two elements – the mind and body. Work on understanding character motivations, weekly scene studies that cover the basics of the Stanislavski system of method acting. Learn some basic movement skills in mime and character physicality including safe falls, representing physical character traits, age, etc.  €45 per week. 
Film – 8:30-9:30pm – this class will teach you some key principles for directing and creating films. Learn the ropes of what it’s like to be on the other side of the camera and greatly improve your ability to act to camera by appearing in classmates filmed sequences €20 per week

The 10 Week Inclusive Foundation in Acting Course
If you decide to sign up for the 10 week adult foundation course you will get all of the above classes as well as weekly feedback on solo performance pieces and free access to additional workshops we will be running in – casting (how to land auditions), content creation and social media, creative writing, stand-up comedy and more. The total price for the course is €1000 and this can be paid in full, or in instalments.
Alternatively you can take individual classes, priced as above. The Ena Mary Burke Scholarship is available for this course. More info on scholarships here
Each class will have different performance opportunities that will be produced by the end of this term which can be added to your showreel or simply worked on for fun.
Private 1-1 Classes
If the above options don’t work for you but you would like to work with us on performance and communication skills, we do offer 1-1 classes online which are €30 for 30 minutes, €40 for 45 minutes or €50 per hour.

Summer/Autumn 2022 Courses:

Voice & Communication: Voice theory and the basics of having a clear, confident voice. Public speaking, presentation, and communication skills. Option to pursue a diploma in communication skills. Podcast work. Vocal characterisation – voice-over work. 

Poetry & Prose Performance: Appreciation of poetry and everything you need to perform poetry and prose well including verse forms, pauses in prose and poetry, rhythm and meter, style, key movements, poets and writers. Prose and poetry recitals throughout the year. 

Acting: Study a variety of acting forms for stage and for screen. Workshops in a variety of theatre practitioners including Stanislavski, Uta Hagen, Viewpoints, Michael Chekhov, and more. Performance in a Dublin Theatre in Winter, performance of solo and group devised work at the end of term, and large promenade production in OPW venue in the summer months. 

Physical Theatre: Physical characterisation: mime and movement, Lecoq, clowning, stage combat, commedia dell’arte, Laban movement. Movement based performance pieces. 

Theatre Studies: History of theatre periods and movements including Greek theatre, medieval theatre, the renaissance, realism, and modern works. Study a variety of plays as part of a weekly play-reading and immerse yourself fully.

Musical Theatre: Practical classes developing singing, dancing, and acting abilities with performance pieces from popular musicals. Mixture of song types including: torch, patter, comic, character, romantic etc. Solo and group performance opportunities. 

Creative Writing, Devising & Directing: Experience first-hand the development of original and adapted work for stage and screen. Turn stories, poems and events into performance pieces. Improvisation and writing original stories, screenplays, plays and more.  

Film-Making: study the art of film-making and film appreciation and try your hand at writing, directing and producing your own short films, advertisements, and videography. 

Technical Theatre: costume design, stage management, lighting design, set design, prop making, puppet making. 

Speech and Drama Teaching: Work alongside us as a team tutor to learn the skills of teaching speech and drama for all ages. Learn all about class organisation and planning for classes based around speech and drama grade exams. Utilise our rich archive of speech and drama teaching material to learn the principles of teaching in a practical way and gain an Internationally recognised qualification.
