We offer a variety of adult classes which can be taken individually or together with the option to pursue an internationally recognised diploma in performance from Trinity College London, or teaching from the London College of Music at the University of West London.

Summer/Autumn 2022 Courses:
Voice & Communication: Voice theory and the basics of having a clear, confident voice. Public speaking, presentation, and communication skills. Option to pursue a diploma in communication skills. Podcast work. Vocal characterisation – voice-over work.
Poetry & Prose Performance: Appreciation of poetry and everything you need to perform poetry and prose well including verse forms, pauses in prose and poetry, rhythm and meter, style, key movements, poets and writers. Prose and poetry recitals throughout the year.
Acting: Study a variety of acting forms for stage and for screen. Workshops in a variety of theatre practitioners including Stanislavski, Uta Hagen, Viewpoints, Michael Chekhov, and more. Performance in a Dublin Theatre in Winter, performance of solo and group devised work at the end of term, and large promenade production in OPW venue in the summer months.
Physical Theatre: Physical characterisation: mime and movement, Lecoq, clowning, stage combat, commedia dell’arte, Laban movement. Movement based performance pieces.
Theatre Studies: History of theatre periods and movements including Greek theatre, medieval theatre, the renaissance, realism, and modern works. Study a variety of plays as part of a weekly play-reading and immerse yourself fully.
Musical Theatre: Practical classes developing singing, dancing, and acting abilities with performance pieces from popular musicals. Mixture of song types including: torch, patter, comic, character, romantic etc. Solo and group performance opportunities.
Creative Writing, Devising & Directing: Experience first-hand the development of original and adapted work for stage and screen. Turn stories, poems and events into performance pieces. Improvisation and writing original stories, screenplays, plays and more.
Film-Making: study the art of film-making and film appreciation and try your hand at writing, directing and producing your own short films, advertisements, and videography.
Technical Theatre: costume design, stage management, lighting design, set design, prop making, puppet making.
Speech and Drama Teaching: Work alongside us as a team tutor to learn the skills of teaching speech and drama for all ages. Learn all about class organisation and planning for classes based around speech and drama grade exams. Utilise our rich archive of speech and drama teaching material to learn the principles of teaching in a practical way and gain an Internationally recognised qualification.

Registration for Spring & Summer Terms 2022
We are now taking registrations of interest for our Spring & Summer Terms 2022. Due to popular demand and the need to keep class sizes small, we are offering both weekend and midweek classes for all age groups.
