We are so excited to announce that we have weekly Speech and Drama classes starting in Ranelagh!
Due to the success of our summer camps, we are delighted to offer weekly speech and drama classes in Ranelagh which will suit those living in the surrounding areas of Donnybrook, Ballsbridge, Milltown and Sandymount.
What after school activities are on offer in Ranelagh?
Taking place on Tuesdays in Wesley House, Leeson Park, Ranelagh. We will begin by offering our Speech and Drama classes for children age 3.5-5, 6-8 and Senior Teen Speech Class for 15-18 year olds.
Ranelagh Class Timetable:
2:00pm-3:00pm – Step 1 Speech and Drama Class for preschoolers (Ages 3-5 montessori-junior infants) This 1 hour class provides a great introduction to the world of speech and drama. It will feature poetry speaking, mime, stories, improvisation, exercises for clear speech, and lots of fun games.
4:30pm-6:00pm Step 2 Speech and Drama (Ages 6-8 senior infants-2nd class) This 90 minute class bridges the gap between step 1 and the junior class. With the options to take part in Feis Maitiu poetry competitions and an Initial speech and drama examination at the end of the year.
4:30pm-7:00pm Senior Teen Speech Class (Ages 15-18) This 2.5 hour class is for our most advanced and senior teens. It is an elocution class for teenagers. Building a clear, confident voice. Study vocal theory and speech training, public speaking and communication, poetry, prose and verse speaking. Learn about literature and theatre studies. Prepare audition pieces for entry to drama colleges around the world.
We find this class to be an enormous help with both Junior and Leaving Certificate English exams. Poetry performance courses designed to teach the skills to analyse any poem from a performer’s perspective – learn all about rhythm, meter, rhyme, sound effects, structure, and style. Specialised workshops are offered for individual poets. Specialised workshops for comparative study films, plays, and prose, as well as Shakespeare. Take part in Speech and Drama exams based entirely on your Leaving Cert English material. Unlike many Irish exams, the exams we sit gain teenagers UCAS points for entry to UK universities.
Why choose speech and drama classes in Ranelagh?

Our speech and drama classes in Ranelagh will follow the same coursework as our speech and drama classes in Rathmines. It is possible to move from a Rathmines course to one in Ranelagh without disrupting your progress.
